The campaign to collect food from the University of Alicante has concluded successfully. It is included in the Incubator of Values project that promotes the Permanent University (UPUA) with the participation of the Student Council of the UA and in collaboration with the Deputy Vice-chancellorship for Social responsibility, inclusion and equality.
The collection of June closes the campaign for this academic year, with more than a positive balance. In June they have collected a total of 736.17 kg of food and 23 units. of hygiene products. It should be mentioned that the company Confectionary García Oliva S.A. has donated 200 kg of biscuits.
We sincerely appreciate to the entire university community the participation in this act of solidarity, aimed at CAE, the Food Bank of Alicante, “Despensa Solidaria”, and the Nazareth Center.
For the UA students, 35 set of food of 18 kg each have been prepared in this month of June, with basic foods that CAE will distribute.
In total, during this academic year, they have been able to collect a total of 4,019.10 kg of food and 312 units of hygiene.
