Leuka´s canticles

The international poetry day was proclaimed by the General Conference of the UNESCO and it was celebrated for the first time on the 21st of May  2000. Its aim is to promote the support to the poets, to go back to the enchantment of the orality and reestablish the dialogue between poetry and the rest of arts.

We believe that every poetic lecture act is a recreation process, as Laín Entralgo would say, because the narrator and the hearer are recreated, they create themselves again. The recital we are going to enjoy is literary perfection and full conviviality, since ``the poetic recital is an exercise present in every culture and it is equivalent to the art of o turning creatively the magic mirror to summon the meeting and creating the life that it is shared. Let us do this tradition to remain and to keep flourishing against the need of the saying, sharing and enduring, in words of García Montero, poems need to be inhabited for they are hospitable.

We agree that the writing, forgotten in current times, is an intermediate place, transitory between the tangible reality and the untouchable dream. Therefore, the writer, understands that there is an interior world and he has the bravery and the ability to break, to crack and to emerge again, without putting limits to the creativity.

On this day, amongst all of them, they and ourselves, we will try to build the map of these great poets, from yesterday and today, authors of Leuka´s canticles; because in time with the leaves, over the white paper the fingers draw emotions being the voice, helped by the magical lecture of the group components, the one who transmits them.
