<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" xml:lang="EN-US">Yesterday, Concepción Bru Ronda, Director of the Permanent University of the University of Alicante, developed a new session of the awareness campaign with members of the institution that belong to different groups: <span> </span>teaching staff, administration staff, trade unions representatives and experts in order to present the BALL project results and to receive the input and suggestions from participants with the aim to implement and transfer to society the research results. The awareness campaign is part of the Ball Project Action Plan.</span></p>

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p style="text-align: justify;">On 27<sup>th</sup> November 2015 a conference entitled: “Add Life to Age- Go Actively into Retirement” was organized by the Lublin University of the Third Age within the frames of the BALL Erasmus+ Project. Preparation to retirement must be accompanied, on the one hand, by social support, and on the other hand, by a look into one’s self, as everyone has the right and obligation to decide about the later part of life. Research carried out during the first year of the BALL project provided interesting information on the readiness of individuals to prepare to retirement and to lead an active life. A sociologist, Monika Adamczyk, Ph.D., elaborated on the awareness of this problem in Polish society in the light of the research conducted during the BALL mapping and survey. The participants of the conference were handed a book she wrote on those issues “Go Actively into Retirement”.</p>

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>Universities, business world, trade unions, associations, local and regional authorities will benefit from the results of BALL, a European Union Erasmus + Project. </p>
<p>The University of Alicante hosted from Monday, 26 October 2015 the <a href="content/meetings/fourth-steering-committee-meeting.html">Fourth Steering Committee Meeting </a>of the <a href="index.html">BALL Project</a> - Be Active through Lifelong Learning, where 45 world experts and researchers met on Monday and Tuesday (26 and 27 October).</p>
<p>BALL is a European Erasmus + project developed by the UA Vice President for Studies Planning, Training Actions & Quality Standards, within the context of the UA LifeLong Learning University, with the ultimate goal of analysing the state of readiness for retirement of European citizens. The team working on this project, funded by the EU, is composed of organisations with extensive experience in working with the elderly in three European countries. In the context of the meeting on 26th, the Fourth Steering Committee Meeting took place among whom representatives of various professional areas and private and public institutions, as well as experts from the fields of Geriatrics, Gerontology, Sociology, Psychology, Education for adults, and various business and professional sectors shared their ideas and assessed the proposals for action and the guidelines resulting from this fourth strategic meeting of experts.</p>
