		<td class="mitd">This subject seeks to offer an understanding of the basic mechanisms which govern the functioning of our body through the knowledge of the structure and role of cells, tissues and organs. A voyage to the fascinating microscopic world will allow us to understand the origin and causes of some diseases. By means of the observation of cells and tissues through the microscope, we will discover an unknown world that forms part of our nature. This is an essentially practical subject in which students will perform different experiences in the research laboratory and will become familiar with basic aspects of the scientific research method. OBJECTIVES: 1.- Acquiring basic notions about scientific experimentation in the laboratory and about the scientific method. 2.- Getting to know the structure of living beings. 3.- Collecting health concepts through experimental sciences. 4.-.Learning to perform small experiments in the laboratory and to work with the microscope. 5.- Discovering the microscopic structure of our cells, tissues and organs. 6.- Understanding the causes of ageing and some diseases.
